Nishiki is pretty much the only ramen spot I go to. Their food is consistently great. The service is awesome, and the atmosphere is fun.

Food always delivers. Our server, Jeremy, was so kind and patient with us--we took a while to order hahaha.

The food and customer service here are all a cut above the rest. My friend and I have become regulars here, frequently enjoying their drinks (house hot/cold sakes & Japanese draft beers) and other food offerings. I highly recommend the Smoke Black Bomb (add the house-made spicy sauce), Akuma, gyoza (their lemon pepper flavored-sauce is unique), and fries (LOL, trust me). I've also purchased their black garlic flavoring and house-made sauce to-go without purchasing ramen to add to my own meals at home - 10/10 recommend doing this hack. Bin, a lead server, continues to inspire me on how to become a better leader. He's genuinely kind, personable, and I can tell he cares about the customer experience. Jeremy has also made our experiences excellent. However, regardless of who you get, the customer service will be great. The ambiance is open, clean, and COOL temperature wise (helpful when you're eating hot ramen lmao). Bottom line - Enjoy ramen? Enjoy catching up with friends over drinks and sides? Enjoy being treated with respect? Do yourself a favor and stop by. This is one of my favorite spots for ramen in the Convoy area. This place gets an EASY 5/5 A+

Still one of my favorite ramen spots in San Diego. Was quickly seated at the bar as it was just me but it seemed like a wait for any party with 4 or more. Got one of my favorites, the Black Smoke Bomb with a side of extra noodles and chicken karaage for an appetizer. My server Jasmine was really nice and made sure to keep checking up on me as I slurped away my ramen. Haha. I've always liked the simple set up here. You can see them making ramen in the back with the almost -open kitchen concept. Always hits the spot. Will always be coming back here.

Ellen W was an absolute sweet heart! She was also very attentive! Tram was amazing! She was very knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful with drink options! I love drinking hot water and they went out of their way to make some for me. I'm super appreciative! I highly recommend Nishiki!

Our first meal in San Diego and it was great. Located in a strip mall - plenty of parking. We were promptly seated. Our toddler was given a high chair. Crayons and coloring sheet was given to her. What a pleasant surprise for a ramen restaurant. She got a small cup with a lid/straw as well as her own eating utensils and bowl. Two ramens ordered with one extra noodles. The noodles were the thick kind. We loved the broth which was thick and adhered well to the noodles. One of our top meals of our trip. The waiter was very nice and offered recommendations for our trip. One unisex bathroom in the back. Although they tack on the automatic tip - you can decline or tip whatever you want.

Food and service are always a hit when we have stopped by (recently we have come twice in the same month). This is my husband's favorite ramen joint so far and this is one of the better places when it comes to broth flavor. Noodles are about average but if you are all about broth and not noodles, this is the place for you.

Since my last review was from 4 years ago, it's time for an update! Nishiki Ramen has been and continues to be my #1 go-to for ramen. Every single time, I swear I'm gonna gry something different, I never do, lmao! I can't help it. It's not my fault they make their Smoke Bomb Black so damn deliciously good that I drive an hour to get it!! I've been to the other guys.. Menya and Underbelly, which are also really good, but Nishiki has my heart and my stomach! My last visit on a Sunday was just what I needed. I had a tiny bit of a hangover, and I needed sustenance ASAP! I met up with an old friend who hasn't been here lately, either. We ordered the Vegetarian Delight and Smoke Bomb Black. The bowls came to us super fast, I'm talking within 5 minutes fast! Granted, they weren't busy at all when we arrived shortly after 2 pm, but I don't think I've had my food in front of me that fast before. It is just as good as I remember, if not better. You'd better believe I don't leave a drop of anything in the bowl. In my book, it is most certainly a dish that is "always imitated but NEVER duplicated!" The prices have gone up significantly with inflation (4 years ago, it was $12.75!!), but my favorite is still under $20, so I will take that as a win, especially since this is a special treat I can only give to myself once in a while. They really need to open up near me, lol! Hosun provided a warm welcome and excellent service. He was quick, refilled our water as needed, and gave great customer service with a smile. Another server mentioned that they're having a contest right now, so the employee with the most Yelp shout outs wins a prize (I assume). If you are lucky enough to get Hosun, write that review!! He rocks and deserves to win! Good luck, Hosun!! Now, go get you some Smoke Bomb Black! ;)
